Supporting and Resourcing School Staff, Parents and Carers through Listening Training

Listen Well Scotland (LWS) recognises that the mental wellbeing of young people is a particular challenge especially following the recent pandemic. The mental wellbeing of young people also impacts on staff, parents and   carers alike. The expectation on school staff to provide appropriate support and care is immense given the waiting times for mental health services.

With more schools adopting a ‘whole school’ approach to wellbeing LWS believes it can resource school staff, parents and carers, through its Listening Training programme to provide support and care as prevention and early intervention.

Importantly our Listening Training highlights that caring for others requires the essential need for self-care first for their own health and wellbeing.

Listen Well Scotland has revised its Listening Training Programme to provide a range of CPD accredited courses suitable to meet the needs of working individuals whose time for training may be limited.

We have also taken the decision to keep the cost of our courses at affordable prices. This is to ensure as many people as possible can access our quality listening training which has a positive impact on the wellbeing of others and themselves.
