Listening Training Programme

Everyone can learn how to listen well.

LWS’s Listening Training Programme has courses suitable for all ages. Being able to listen well is a transferrable life skill which has a positive impact on mental resilience, confidence and wellbeing.

In schools and youth groups, training in active listening for young people improves peer communication, addresses bullying and reduces stigma around mental health.

Many people have accessed our training over the years. These include P6 – S6 pupils, teachers, NHS staff, members of third sector organisations. Everyone recognised the importance of listening for health and wellbeing.

Listen Well Award

Listen Well Scotland was delighted for the opportunity to exhibit the Listen Well Award Pilot at the Scottish Parliament with representatives from the participating schools talking to MSPs about their experience and the importance of listening for mental resilience and wellbeing among young people.
