Effective Listening Foundation Course

No previous experience is necessary.

This 2-day, non-residential, trainer-led course teaches the skills of listening more effectively to others and to self.

The teaching is interactive and experiential.  It includes presentations, group discussions and listening practice in pairs.  The course will provide participants with the opportunity not only to learn the skills of active listening, using a particular approach, but also to understand the importance of listening for health and wellbeing.  Rather than using role play as a learning tool, participants will be invited to draw on and share aspects of their own life’s experience within a safe and confidential environment.

The course  will also include exploring the place of compassion, vulnerability, trust and confidentiality within a listening context.

After booking has been confirmed further details about the course will be sent to you. The cost includes digital handouts on completion of the course.

The next course with limited spaces will be on the 8th & 9th November at the Stirling Court Hotel. This will provide a residential option at an additional cost. The closing date for the residential option is 30th September to ensure availability. For further information contact Maureen Wilson maureen@listenwellscotland.org.uk
